ANMA presents three new tracks exploring repetition and gradual change, with synthesiser patterns perched on emptiness like bulbs flashing in a dark room. Each motif is locked into cyclical sequences and subjected to only the most subtle forms of change. This is calculation in the abstract; a pulsing “please wait” prompt on an LED screen, divorced from the originating request and suspended eternally from the end result. In the absence of overt progression, tiny adjustments feel monumental: the emergence of a new gentle throbbing to the right, a heightened fizz on a bass drum, an accentuated reverb. All of these patterns are cut against a backdrop of electromagnetic restlessness, with drones and interference clinging to the air like dust.
