about

inertia is a gentle-yet-restless extended piece for modular synth and no-input mixer, akin to the tosses and turns of fitful sleep. Central to these 27 minutes is a persistent bass drone, throbbing like a shuttle alert system on standby, while an array of more transient textures float across the frame: cyclical crackles and pops, swells of mid-frequency feedback, shimmering high tones. There is a quiet feud between the desire to be still and the desire to move. inertia holds itself in place, resisting the urge to lean into no-input volatility or indulge the modular's boundless explorative possibilities, sinking ever-deeper into a warm, unrippled pool of present tense.
