Askew but yet melodic, it could perfectly be an apocalyptic OST for a space/time we will ever and never witness. Favorite track: Magnetic Dream I.

A beautiful collection of twitching ambient motifs and perishing tape. The palindromic structure of "Magnetic Dreams" gives it the impression of curling in on itself, with pathways to the outside transpiring to be scenic routes to re-entry instead. In the mind the record looks like a möbius loop, embarking on a serene chicane through glitching electronics, wearing down the same pathway over and over again, until the flutters and crackles of degradation threaten to swallow the melodies entirely.

Daou is the music project of Paris-based musician, architect and multidisciplinary artist Georges Daou.
A guitarist and tape enthusiast since an early age, he started experimenting with tape loops, synths and field recordings alongside his guitar and effect pedals. The result was immersive ambient soundscapes and drones, often colored with lofi textures and sound artefacts.
