phishermen is a continuation of excel dj's exploration of information anxiety and the internet through the lens of "club music": a crush of fidgeting beats and option-paralysis percussive skitter. The communal euphoria of the dancefloor is all here, albeit with its escapist potential wrenched into knots of nerve-wracked interiority – kick drums pump beneath noise that scratches all sides of listener's head. We're all dancing together and trapped inside our own heads at the same time.
