Another trip through the mirror maze with turntablist Me, Claudius, whose use of repetition has little to do with entrenching familiarity and is all about tying the clock into knots. Central to both tracks is a bewildered crooner, jabbering the same set of phrases ("no", "spinning") over shattered loops of big band, the whole thing thickly pocked by vinyl crackle and thuds of needle. Common samples bleed across both pieces, suspected exits lead back into the middle, and the singer swirls into ever-greater delirium. Far from being an agent of hypnosis and stability, the looping here is like a prodding finger - tactile and agitating, disrupting all continuity of thought, keeping the listener in a state of dizzy vigilance.
